Cancellation Policy Waiver Program

These Terms and Conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”) of the Cancellation Policy Waiver Program (the “Waiver Program”) are incorporated into the terms and conditions of your purchase. To the extent that these Terms and Conditions are inconsistent with the terms and conditions of your purchase, the terms and conditions of the booking platform on which you made your purchase or the terms and conditions of the event owner or operator identified on the booking or reservation website where you made your purchase (the “Event Administrator”), these Terms and Conditions shall control. In these Terms and Conditions, the words “you,”  “your” and “Customer” mean the person who purchased a ticket, reservation or registration for an event (a “Covered Event”) from the Event Administrator and paid the applicable waiver fee specified by the Event Administrator (the “Waiver Fee”). The words “we” and “our” mean the Event Administrator.

If you elected to participate in the Waiver Program by paying the Waiver Fee for a ticket, reservation or registration for a Covered Event, then subject to the requirements and limitations of these Terms and Conditions:

  • We will grant a limited waiver of our cancellation policy for the Covered Event, which states that all sales and purchases are final and nonrefundable at the time of purchase; and
  • You will have the right to a refund of the Net Ticket Price (as defined below) if you are unable or decide not to participate in the Covered Event for any reason as long as your refund request is received by the Event Administrator at least 24 hours before the starting time for the Covered Event set by the Event Administrator (the “Event Start Time”) and all other requirements of these Terms and Conditions are met.

The Waiver Program only covers the Net Ticket Price paid by you and does not cover any travel expenses or other expenses or losses incurred by you or any other person, whether related to the Covered Event or not.

To participate in the Waiver Program, you must pay a Waiver Fee for each per person ticket, reservation or registration you purchase, and only tickets, reservations or registrations for which you have paid the Waiver Fee will be eligible for refund. The opportunity to enroll into the Waiver Program will not be offered to the Customer after the date of initial purchase of the ticket, reservation or registration unless allowed in writing by the Event Administrator. The Event Administrator may change the Waiver Fee at any time without notice, but any increase or decrease in the Waiver Fee will not be applied to Customers who have already paid the Waiver Fee.

By paying the Waiver Fee, you are electing to participate in the Waiver Program. Participation in the Waiver Program may be cancelled by a Customer within 24 hours after their purchase and payment of the Waiver Fee. If the Customer cancels their participation in the Waiver Program, the Customer agrees to and acknowledges that the original cancellation policy for the Covered Event set by the Event Administrator (as stated in the Event Administrator’s terms and conditions) will apply, and the Customer will not be entitled to a refund for any reason.

Notice to Customers: By participating in the Waiver Program, you are neither purchasing an insurance policy nor are you being insured under any policy held by the Event Administrator or any other person.  The Waiver Program is not an insurance policy for your ticket, reservation or registration purchase, nor is it intended to replace any existing travel, ticket or other insurance coverage you may have. You should consult an insurance professional to evaluate and determine your own personal insurance needs.

THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A LIMITED WAIVER OF THE EVENT ADMINISTRATOR’S CANCELLATION POLICY FOR THE COVERED EVENT, WHICH STATES THAT ALL SALES AND PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NONREFUNDABLE.  THIS PROGRAM IS NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE A CUSTOMER’S TRAVEL OR TICKET INSURANCE OR ANY OTHER INSURANCE COVERAGE.  THIS PROGRAM IS NOT TRAVEL OR TICKET INSURANCE OR INSURANCE OF ANY TYPE. THE CUSTOMER IS NOT AN INSURED, ADDITIONAL INSURED OR LOSS PAYEE UNDER ANY POLICY OF INSURANCE.

By paying the Waiver Fee you acknowledge that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to be legally bound by them.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE BELOW

What We Will Pay:

Under the Waiver Program, you are eligible for a reimbursement of the Net Ticket Price if you cancel your participation in a Covered Event for any reason and otherwise meet the requirements of these Terms and Conditions.  The “Net Ticket Price” means the sum of the amount you paid for a ticket, reservation, or registration, the amount you paid for items or products purchased from us in connection with the Covered Event that we have not shipped at the time of your cancellation request and all applicable sales taxes. The Net Ticket Price does not include any processing fees you paid or the cost of any items or products shipped before you requested a refund.  We will not pay for items or products lost or damaged in transit.

All cancellation requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the Event Start Time. Any cancellation requests submitted less than 24 hours before the Event Start Time will not be refunded.

Other Considerations:

The Waiver Program only covers per person tickets, reservations and registrations for which a Waiver Fee has been paid.

All reimbursements are processed electronically to the original payment method that was used during the purchase or registration process. If payment fails electronically, a check will be mailed to the address used by you during purchase or registration.

Our obligations for reimbursement will be reduced to the extent the customer receives reimbursement of any portion of or all of the Event Fee from an insurer, sponsor, promoter or other third party.

Refund Request Process:

If you are unable or decide not to participate in the Covered Event for any reason, you must notify Ticket Risk no less than 24 hours before the Event Start Time. You must submit your request via the Refund Request Form. In the form, you must provide all information requested. If your request is approved, the Event Administrator will refund the Net Ticket Price by your original payment method. If your request is denied, you will be provided with a statement of the reason for the denial.
